Monthly top 20, November

Sometimes I worry about having found all the great music in the world. Which would mean that ther’s nothing left to discover. I must admit that I kind of felt that way during October.
Come November and I find great music again. Old, new and quite a few Bossa things. All can be heard in this months playlist.

1. Ruth Brown – I Don’t Know (18)

Spotify has updated their “discovery” feature to something quite descent. Through that one, I descovered this lovely little tune. Jazzy, soulful and smooth, from the Queen of R&B. No wonder I lestened to it a whole bunch of times.

2. Detroit Emeralds – You’re Getting A Little Too Smart (16)

A completely irrasistable soulgem. Just listen to the arrangement. Fantastic!

3. Doris Monteiro – É Isso Ai (15)

Can you hear the group of squeking monkeys in the choir? I even enjoy them. Let’s Samba!
